The 3^rd Annual Suited for Social Justice Scholarship Program is here! This year, our SHERIFFS are back in town and ON THE HUNT for the next generation of young leaders in law. Founded by Katherine Mazaheri @mazaherilawfirm and Lauren Warkentine @williamandlauren, this unique scholarship program combines each of their professional successes to honor one law school graduate kick-starting their crusade for social justice in Oklahoma City.

This year's lucky cowboy or cowgirl will receive a $5,000 scholarship and a custom suit from William & Lauren Co.

Requirements to apply:

* Law school graduate from 2021 or 2022

* J. D. from an Oklahoma Law School

Katherine Mazaheri will be honored by the Journal Record at their Gala as one of “50 Women Making A Difference” in Oklahoma. The “50 Making a Difference” honoree list recognizes Oklahoma’s prominent women who epitomize leadership in their professional endeavors and in their communities.

Katherine Mazaheri and Mary Rahimi Presented a Continuing Education based on a publication they co-wrote for the Briefcase called “The Right to Bare Arms: What your Style Says about You” for the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Women in Law Conference.

At Oklahoma County Bar Association’s Law Day Awards Luncheon Katherine Mazaheri was awarded the Leadership in Law Award by the Oklahoma County Bar Association and The Journal Record. This award is for representation of clients when advancement of the public good is the only reward

Katherine Mazaheri was honored by the Colombian Consulate as a “Colombiano Ilustre” regarding her service to the community with several other distinguished Colombian leaders in Oklahoma.

Mazaheri Law Firm is proud to see “Ann” Sajani Zachariah recognized as a TOP Attorney for family law in the 405.

Oklahoma City University Alumni Association featured Katherine Mazaheri in the latest issue of their magazine In Brief regarding a continuing education she taught last year based on an article she wrote for the Oklahoma Bar Association: What’s Sex Got to Do With It?: The Evolution of Sex Discrimination in Title VII.

However, to us, Charlie's stood out as one we've picked to pay it forward. Charlie is a 2020 graduate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Today, as a juvenile prosecutor in Oklahoma, Charlie is working daily to advocate for the safety and well-being of every child in Oklahoma. She has a heart for fostering change and a belief that through second chances and providing resources for the juvenile's in the system; they can be set on a path for a prosperous future.

A quote from Charlie really highlights this. "I believe children are the most valuable resources Oklahoma has. It is up to us to decide how well we want to take care of those resources, and I intend to remain on the front lines of advocating for children every day in my job as a Prosecutor."
